Our Debt Recovery Service is offered on a strict NO RECOVERY NO FEE basis. Whilst you are fully responsible for our fees for a successful recovery, in most cases we can recover our fees direct from your Debtor using the current Late Payment Legislation.

 

NPD are fully aware that is some cases a decision to take Debt Recovery action against a non-paying Client is a very difficult one, the problems being caused to your cash flow on the one hand, weighed up by potentially losing the Client and therefore the turnover in the other. NPD’s initial contact with your client will always be as an extension of your credit control department, this approach is designed, if possible, to keep the Client-to-Client relationship intact.

 

Once instructed one of our Specialist Team will make direct contact with your Debtor by Phone, Email, or Letter. Around 80% of Debts are resolved at this stage, this is normally because your Debtor will now become fully aware that this matter has been cranked up, and an outside Agency has been instructed.

If the Debt is disputed, we have huge experience of dealing with disputed Debts and can often successfully mediate between the Parties to resolve these situations quickly.

 

If it’s a Cash flow problem we will attempt to negotiate an acceptable Payment Plan, which we will monitor closely, and act quickly if that payment plan breaks down.

 

If a Debtor does not respond to our initial contact, then we will advise them that legal action is imminent and the problems that it will cause them and their Company if a County Court Judgement is registered against them. We also advise them that once we hold judgement that enforcement will mean a Sherriff’s Officer attending their premises. 

 

If there is no response to the threat of Legal Action, then in the first instance we will carry out extensive searches on your Debtor, once we have all the information available, we will discuss with you the different options that you have at this point, including issuing proceedings in the Small Claims Court / County Court or even issuing a Statutory Demand under the insolvency act. You will be advised of all costs of taking these actions and of all the possible outcomes. We will never recommend taking Legal action unless we feel there is a realistic chance of recovering your Debt.
